Day two of truck drivers’ pickets ends on quiet note
Sporadic picket lines were set up by striking truck drivers at the entrances to at least a handful of container terminals in the San Pedro Bay ports complex on Tuesday.
The second day of the 48-hour strike, which involved roughly 100 drivers from three trucking drayage companies, was quieter than Monday, when dockworkers refused to cross the picket lines for several hours. An arbitrator ruled that they needed to get back to work.
